The AP-4 is an ideal system for both power boats and sailboats with enclosed pilot house steering stations. It's bright three color LED display shows heading, rudder posistion and next heading position in vivid color display. It's random on-off control system allows the entire system to be turned ON or OFF from any remote control unit. (Ideal for vessels with dual steering stations.)

FEATURES:

• Has Digital Course Change Dial with 1-degree steps ( 32 degrees per turn)
• Bright multi-colored display shows heading, rudder angle and heading deviation
• Coupled with W-H's FET controlled drive motors with dynamic braking, you have one of the fastest responding autopilots ever. The variable speed solid state pump sets are rated at 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 hp. They provide for variable rudder speeds from 8-12 degrees per second. Since these are variable speed drives, they can also move rudders slowly when appropriate.

Additional Features:

• Counter rudder with a full-time dedicated knob and an adjustable time constant.
• Automatic Weather Helm system that can be turned on or off (even from remotes).
• A course change knob with both audible and tactile feedback (1 degree or 10 degree/click, 32 degree/turn)
• A full-time bar graph shows rudder angle, at all times, in vivid color (red port left & green starboard right). A seconds bar graph indicates deviation from the autopilot course or deviation to the next GPS heading before it is engaged. It shows the exact heading direction on a semi-circle up to 90 degrees. Then a warning buzzer sounds and the display flashes.
• The bright multi-colored display is an LED, not LCD display. It does not fade when viewed from a wide angle, and is very readable in most ambient conditions.
• The compact unit can be flush mounted, surface mounted, or trunnion mounted with a stainless steel bracket (which is only 2" deep).
